The Accommodation
This stylish timber-framed apartment, with its charming beams and open-plan living/dining area, offers high-quality furnishings and space for four guests. We've thought of everything to make you feel right at home.
Start your day with a delicious Nespresso coffee or a warm tea and relax at the designer table. The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction cooktop, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave with grill, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and everything else you need to prepare delicious meals. You'll also find plenty of coffee capsules, a variety of teas, cooking oil, salt, pepper, and sugar in the kitchen.
For a restful night's sleep, the bedroom features a large king-size box-spring bed (1.80 m x 2.00 m) with electrically adjustable slatted frames and hotel-quality bedding. For the third and fourth guests, there is a comfortable genuine leather sofa bed (1.40 m x 2.00 m) with a slatted frame and mattress in the living room. The bedrooms are equipped with soundproof blackout curtains and the skylights with electric blinds, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. USB charging ports for your smartphone are available on the bedside tables. A large clothes rack with wooden hangers and several compartments is provided for your clothing.
If you're traveling for business, the stylish retro desk in the living room offers a comfortable place to work from our apartment. And of course, you can use our high-speed Wi-Fi free of charge.
In the spacious combined living/sleeping area, you can relax on the large, comfortable genuine leather sofa and unwind in front of the 55" Samsung HD TV with Netflix, Magenta TV, and RTL+.
The large designer solid wood table offers plenty of space for everyone to enjoy a lovely dinner, play a board game (of which you'll find a selection in the apartment), or simply sit together comfortably. In the bright bathroom, you can take a relaxing bath or simply start your day with a quick shower.
Of course, we provide fresh towels and amenities such as toilet paper, soap, shampoo, body wash, and a hairdryer.
If you have laundry, you can wash and dry it in the washer-dryer in the bathroom. The necessary detergents are provided free of charge. You can also use the iron and ironing board to get your clothes wrinkle-free.
In the courtyard, you can relax in the shared seating area and perhaps chat with other guests or enjoy a glass of Palatinate wine. Take a moment to reflect on the wine.
A beer garden table and benches are available for your free use in the courtyard. You are also welcome to use your own grill.
Accessibility/Location
The train station is 700 meters away and can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes.
Kandel is located directly on the A65 motorway, which provides quick access to Karlsruhe (15 minutes), Landau (20 minutes), and Neustadt an der Weinstraße (30 minutes).
Out and about around the accommodation
The house is located in the center of Kandel. The street consists mainly of residential buildings.
Opposite is a traditional butcher shop with, among other things, regional specialties.
All other shops for daily needs, as well as restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors and retail stores are within easy walking distance.
Kandel lies in the heart of the Bienwald, a wooded area of approximately 120 square kilometers. Other attractions in Kandel include the "Fun Forest Kandel" climbing park and the "Football Golf Park Southern Palatinate".
If you prefer a more lively atmosphere, then Karlsruhe is just a stone's throw away, about 15 km, and is always worth a visit, whether for shopping or sightseeing.
Likewise, France and the German Wine Gate in Schweigen-Rechtenbach are very close (20 km) and worth a visit.
Approximately 45 km away lies the Palatinate Forest (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), where you can experience unspoiled nature while hiking or cycling. Of course, there are many more beautiful destinations in and around Kandel, so we provide information on further leisure activities in your accommodation.
